The Citadel to test emergency warning sirens |
Wednesday, 18 June 2008 12:15 |
The Citadel will conduct monthly tests of its emergency communications sirens and notification systems. The tests will occur at approximately noon on the first day of each month. The tests are part of the college’s BulldogAlert emergency notification system.
The siren will sound for approximately three minutes and has the potential to be heard throughout many areas of the upper peninsula of Charleston and in portions of West of the Ashley River. |

BulldogAlert |
Wednesday, 05 March 2008 10:16 |
As part of our ongoing effort to provide the safest environment possible for our students, faculty, and staff, we have implemented a new emergency notification system called BulldogAlert which will allow us to communicate important information to our campus population.
In the event of an emergency, college officials will contact all or select constituents by email, text message and by phone with a recorded message. However, we need your help to make this system work effectively. It is vital that you keep your contact information up-to-date so that we are able to contact you in a crisis. Students may update their information online by logging in to PAWS. Employees should log into WISE. (Note: If you have difficulty logging in to PAWS or WISE, please make sure you have all pop-up blockers disabled.)
Please rest assured that the safety of our cadets, CGC students, faculty and staff is our foremost concern. College officials and our Public Safety department are working together to create a safe environment for our faculty, staff and students, and with your help we will be successful in our efforts. |
